He is survived by his wife Priscilla (Ash) O'Hern two sons James G. of Syracuse and John F. of Parish; his mother Florenence O'Hern of Syracuse; two brothers, Eugene T. of Syracuse and George W. of Fort Wayne, Ind; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be private. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Nedrow Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements are in care of Butler-Badnam Funeral Home. Surviving are two sons, Eugene T. of Syracuse and George W. of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. There will be no calling hours. Butler-Badman Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. |

He was a native of Syracuse. Mr O'Hern was a retired member of Syracuse fire Department, having served from 1931 until 1961. He attended Niagara and Syracuse Universities. Mr. O'Hern was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of the Fireman's Benevolent Association. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Florence Murphy O'Hern; three sons, James V. And Eugene T O'Hern of Syracuse and George W. O'Hern of Oklahoma City, Okla; eight grand children and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 8:30 am tomorrow at John G. Butler Funeral Home 2104 S. Salina St. and at 9 in St Anthony of Padua Church where a high requiem Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery Friend May call from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the funeral home. |
