Matthew F. Murphy, of 320 E. Kennedy St., a retired carpenter, died last night in St. Joseph's Hospital. A resident of –Syracuse for 85 years, he was a communicant of St, Anthony of Padua Church. Surviving are a son, Leo J. Murphy; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Bailor and Mrs. George J. O'Hearn; a sister, Mrs, Elizabeth Murphy; 10 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. | Appears in the 1880 Census (11 yrs). There is no 1890 Census. In the 1900 he would have been 31 but I can not find one on him in any census. When his brother William died in 1904 he is not listed in the obituary. So he died some time between 1880 and 1904 |
