Breakfast Follows at Hotel Syracuse Mr. and Mrs. Harry G. Jones, 37 Stinard Avenue, announce the marriage of their daughter. Miss Dorothy M. Jones, to Albert J. Dingledein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Avery. 55 Park Avenue, on Dec. 19 at the Cathedral ol the Immaculate Conception rectory. Mrs. Joseph Thornton, cousin or the bride, and James Carrol were the attendants. Msgr. James McPeak performed the ceremony. The bride was gowned In brown velvet with matching hat and slippers and long eggshell gloves. She carried Talisman roses. Her attendant was in blue velvet and carried pink roses. A wedding breakfast for the bridal party and members of the Immediate family was served at the Hotel Syracuse. The couple left for a trip to Albany and New York City and make their home in Rochester. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica. A native of Syracuse, Mr. Dingledein lived in New York Mills since 1933. He was a salesman 17 years with Beechnut Foods and later owned and operated Standard Insulating Co., Utica. Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Jones; two daughters, Shirley Desimone of Paramus, N.J., and Joan -Turner of New Hartford; a sister, Helen Kesel of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Surridge & Jacobson Memorial Home, Utica, the Rev. John P. Flannagan officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 2212 Genesee St. Utica Observer Dispatch May 12, 2002
Home, with her loving family by her side. She was born August 14, 1907, in Syracuse, a daughter of the late Harry and Nellie Murphy Jones. She received her education in Syracuse and, in 1928, graduated from St. Joseph's College of Maryland. She Mrs. Dlngledein was united in marriage to Albert J. Dingledein on December 19, 1932. He died October 19, 1984. Dorothy was a retired teacher and member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Utica, the Altar Rosary Society and the Women's Club of the Church. She is survived by her beloved family: two daughters and a son-in-law, Shirley and Armand Desimone, of Paramus, NJ, and Joan D. Turner, of New Hartford; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Mark and Iris, Kevin and Donna, and Craig and Nancy Desimone, Cheryl and Melo Tripodi, Laurie and Steve Lembo, Sharon Turner Richards, Linda A. Turner, Barbara and John Caraher, Trisha and Richard Carnes, Mary Turner and Kathy Contino-Turner; and 27 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her son-in-law, Jack Turner; her grandson, Paul R. Turner; and her great-grandson, Daniel M. Lembo. Dorothy's funeral will be conducted Monday (today) at 12:30 from the Surridge & Roberts Funeral Home, 470 French Rd., and at 1:00 at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in litchfield Cemetery, Litchfield. Visitation for Dorothy will be from 11 :30- 12:30 prior to her funeral service at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the third floor staff of Eden Park Nursing Home for the kindness shown to Dorothy and her family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Eden Park Nursing Home.
